Exclamation Getting start in kanon Adult ver. HaCk1nG

Hi, minna-sam! The good'n'ol cyborg is back!

I hope I don't make a "not-so-good" topic here, but I MUST to ask!

That's the following: I'm planning to translate the Kanon Adult Version for my own native language, but I don't know very much about the tools I can use in this work. And although I got the kpac, I'd like to know if I'll need more tools, or some "alternative" ones, or even better ones (notice that I' didn't say Haeleth's tools are bad! Just looking for another alternatives ok?) to do it.

Also, I'd like to know about some tools who can "convert" some image file (such as bitmaps or .PCX) for the "image format" who Kanon uses., and, if possible, tutorials about it. ^^

Unfortunately, I'll need to wait to my next vacations to do something, but get the programs and some tutorials is a good start, huh?

Do you have the AVG version or the RL version?
RL version will make your life easier.

rldev is more developed than kpac,
and includes vaconv, to boot
which can convert between png (+xml) and g00.

I'm pretty sure vaconv will handle the PDT graphics in the original AVG version as well. So yes, it's definitely worthwhile to have rldev around as well.

The AVG one (The very first adult version). I don't have the Standart ones, although as soon as I get it, I'll translate it (Well... Actually "convert" AVG patch for RL one, once the text in both adult versions will be the very same, right?)

Good to know.

Well, I know the "very very very basics", who I'll need to extract the text from the game, translate it and "repack" it. The RLDev can do it in the AVG games, or it just servers for the .PDT grafics (despite the "obviously" of my question)?

No you cannot,

Kepago expanded between kpac and rldev, as Haeleth made stuff prettier as well as engine development from AVG to RL.

I'd post a line for comparison but my computer is in a box :|

A stupid question? What's Kepago?

EDIT1: In addition to all these stupid stuff, I'd like to ask, again, about some tutorials about these tools. No need to "kpac or rldev for morons" manual, if they not exist indeed... =|

Read the mauual, it really does help.

Kepago is the language Haeleth invented to disassemble AVG/RL bytecode into, not knowing the real language specification developed by Visual Art's.

Oh no... Imperative languages NO! T-T

Allright, it seems I'll need to understand a little about C code (I understand a little, but never used to this moment). No problem. And about read the KPAC manual, once KPAC manual goes with it, I'll read as soon as I got time again...
