Schools Days or Summer Days

I'm planning on buying one if them just not sure which.
any recommendations?

School Days. Summer Days would be a mediocre game if it wasn't taken in the context "from the people who gave you School Days."

Not even. If you didn't play School days, and think Setsuna was amazingly cute and needed more than the few short bits of story that she got, then there's no point in playing Summer Days really. Even if '33322' is one of the more adorable confession scenarios I've seen to date.

And the bloody endings are what made the game famous, it's not like it's random senseless violence... just exaggerated. =)

Mm, it depends. The H scenes are somewhat long and annoying, but you can fast forward through them. The voice talent used is first rate though.

The main strength about School days is that it gets you INVOLVED in the story. There are lots of eroge out there where you come across bland characters, the ones where you barely remember their names, skip their conversations, and generally don't care about them.

Not School days. You'll be screaming at the slut Makoto for behaving as he does, you'll have your guts twist in a knot when Kotonoha gets picked on. You'll want to slap some sense into Sekai. You'll think Setsuna too damn cute and needs a fan disk dedicated to her. You'll want Nanami to die more than Makoto amazingly enough, and she's not even a finishable character. The list goes on and on <_< and I've yet to come across a game that has gotten so many people cursing at about half the cast characters in unison.

The story is often exaggerated, sometimes tacky, and it tends to emphasize the more dark aspects of human nature bluntly, but the way the story twists around is very likely to suck you in have you cheering for or against the characters.
