If anyone is wondering, White Day isn't a visual novel, but rather a variation on the Survival Horror formula (i.e. Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Penumbra, etc.). As with Penumbra or Clock Tower 3, you navigate through the game without any handguns.

A European version was announced a few years ago, but I don't think they ever released anything.

Call me a pervert but I would want this translated:

I'd personally really like:

The Leaf Visual Novel trilogy: Shizuku, Kizuato, and of course, To Heart. To Heart being the priority of the three- game's a classic really and you can't deny it had a strong influence on the genre.

White Album- another Leaf one, getting an anime adaption soon too.

Comic Party- sensing a pattern in my tastes yet?

and the only other thing I can think of is MOON, since we have ONE now, MOON would pretty much be next on the list of Pre-Key games.

To Heart is unquestionably the most popular and successful out of those, and definitely influenced the genre.

Shizuku and Kizuato are much better, though.

... well, in a list of pre-Key games, there isn't really a lot of choice, is there? Dousei is a rubbish SIM, after all =p

Well, Shizuku and Kizuato cater to a different style than To Heart does. The former are, for lack of a better description, darker. To Heart was great for that sickeningly sweet and fluffy feeling, which is okay sometimes- the former two were for that mystery/suspense/supernatural experience. At least that's how I sum them up- all three are equally great in my opinion and I'd prefer those three before any of the others in the list I set. IIRC, Shizuku had some pretty darn surreal gag endings.
