Does anyone with any knowledge in the subject know why spambots like to post stuff like this? They don't link anything, nor advertise any product, so I don't understand what the point is...

Sometimes they do so to defeat filters where after a user/IP address has one approved post, all subsequent posts are allowed to bypass the moderation queue. A message like this tries to look like a legitimate post in order to get approved, and then the same bot will probably try again later with a post full of links.
