I was not sure if I should put this in tech issues or general..

So I have a couple questions..

1. Why can't eroge games/magazines be shipped outside japan

2 I just bought a bunch of books yesterdays just checked my status and it says this

now when I click that it ask me to edit info/add new credit card my question is that always there or did I do something wrong..(Is pretty sure he entered hes credit card info right..)


I'm a bit worried because I've never bought anything from amazon.jp..

that's just amazon's policy. if there's something on amazon and you reaaaally need it and can't get it elsewhere, give dankedanke a look

I got that same problem with amazon jp, they insist on charging you in JPY (rightly so, since they operate from Japan), but my local bank in Tanzania does _NOT_ allow for currency conversion from JPY (they only allow USD, EUR and GBP). To walk around this limitation, I had to open an online virtual visa, so that I could transfer my funds from my bank to the virtual visa, then use the virtual visa to do my JPY shopping. Note, using a virtual visa means that you will need to pay the virtual visa provider, which means the value of things will increase a bit.

currently I am using Entropay ( http://www.entropay.com/ ), they are based in the UK and charge me 4.95% on every top-up. Have no problem with them so far. You might wish to find another virtual visa provider and compare them before you commit yourself.

Whoa. I never knew anything like this existed. Can you name me a decent Japan-based one? This could be a way of getting around restrictions on DMM et. al.

I don't know about Japanese virtual visa sites, but with enterpay, they allow you to use any address with their card (I am actually using it with the USofA PSN, had to use Apple's contact address :p).

Credit card is not expired.
Sent amazon a email and I got this

I'll go out on a limp here and suggest that while you are checking with the bank, ask them if they process JPY currency as well?

There are services to allow you to buy stuff available only in Japan and then have it shipped outside. Like this one:

I have no personal experience with them, I just know they exist.

Call you credit card company. Large foreign transactions often trigger fraud protection. I suspect that's what happened here.

Yea I did that they said I'm busy I'll call you back most likely they want.

I plan on using one of those sites to buy eroge crap.

Tenso anyone? I heard that you can use it to buy stuff from Amazon.jp pretty easily although I never personally used their service before.

Got some stuff shipped over from Japan last week.

They charge a service fee, but its not too much. I recommend them.

To get some items shipped over to the UK, it cost me 5,490 Yen (41.00 GBP roughly)
