Any good visual novel IRC channels?

I've been playing VNs for a while, but it only just occurred to me that I don't spend much time in the community. I don't know any Japanese and I'm clumsy with programming and hacking so I'm not ready to get involved with translation (yet), but I wouldn't mind hanging around and chatting. I'm familiar with most of the major English VN sites like encubed and visual-novels, but I've hardly ever used IRC so I don't know where to start. Are there any centralized channels for English speaking VN fans, or do people from different translation groups just gather together and chat in their own channels?

Don't know about the rest, but #denpa may be a bit heavy for the beginner perhaps? There's also #mirrormoon on irchighway.net, but there's not too much going on in there these days.

#vndb isn't really a generic VN channel, more like the VNDB administration channel (with some offtopic VN talk...)
