LiveMaker tools?

As title asks. What tools there are to extract/repack games in LiveMaker?

Since noone else answers... I have some unreleased half-working tools that unpacks some LiveMaker games and converts images to something viewable. No readable script files produced, and no repacker, but it's at least something. Interested?

Are you planning on translating some particular game?

Hm... I was particularly interested in the scripts.
There was a very short game in LiveMaker (perception) I was thinking in giving a shot, but it seems it'd be harder than I thought.

I think I could have a script extractor for you tomorrow-ish. No idea how long it will take to get reinserting working yet.

Seems to have the entire text in at least three copies with slightly different formatting. Don't know which one(s) are actually used.

Repacking works, changing text to English works, adding more letters than was originally there doesn't. So pretty useless.

LiveMaker doesn't run at all without language for non-unicode set to Japanese, even if the script just has English text. AppLocale doesn't work either. I've managed to patch it enough to run, but then the text looks like crap (letters overlapping, in both languages). Even if I manage to fix that, LiveMaker doesn't seem to support variable-width fonts, so it won't improve further than "looks bad" anyway...

It honestly seems like it would be easier to convert the whole thing to Ren'Py or something than to get it working in LiveMaker :/

Well, to be honest got hooked with Forest and other random stuff so didn't started. In any case, it shouldn't take more than a couple of days; but for what you're saying I don't know if it's really worth it.
