Hey guys, I've got a problem with buriko general interpreter (as in the title).
I'm currently under win7 and after a certain part of the game, the application just crashes and there is no info about what's wrong. Anyone had a similar thing? |

Windows 7 has notable incompatibility at the both hardware and software levels with virtually every application, including such crapply programmed things like VN engines (that's why I'm staying on XP).
Regarding Kira Kira, I think you've somehow found a bug introduced either by MangaGamer's programmers or poor quality of English text insertion. Nevertheless, please try to reinstall the VN from your distribution package, there's also possibility that your hard drive is malfunctioning and you've got several remapped clusters right in the VN's resources. Unregistered, perhaps the problem is simply that your pc can't play movies. I read somewhere that someone couldn't play F/sn with Win7 because the game crashed at the end of the prologue (where you see the opening movie). They solved the problem by just installing new video codecs.
Well, you didn't explain which point you reached, so I assumed that you might have arrived at the end of the prologue (in order to not spoil anything, it ends with someone who makes a proposal after seeing an "event"). |

codecs should be ok. And the game crashes when the main character is coming back home from his first live concert. The screen goes black and the text starts: "Little do I suspect this night is going to change my life."

I've just checked and I'm totally right: "Little do I suspect this night is going to change my life." is the last line of the prologue and right after the opening movie starts. The game crashes because it can't play the movie. I don't know the reason. Perhaps it's just a codec issue (as I told you). Anyways, try to open the movie manually. Go on the installation folder of the game and open the folder "Movie". Then play the movie called "Movie_op" (don't open the others, since they are the ending movies and you could spoil a lot...). See whether your pc can play that movie or not.

The last resort - try to add VN's EXE to ffdshow's exception list.
