I dunno if anyone would be able to help, but I'll ask...
At first - I was going to translate (or rather I'm, but some major problems occured) Fate/stay night - from english to polish. It took me about 2 days before I extracted all xp3, deleted word-wraps, and found word-wraps adding tool. Evertything was fine, but... I found the same problem, which I had when i was trying to translate Narcissu - translated text (now containing polish characters, like "ą" or "ó") is not displaying in-game. In case of Narcissu - problem is propably Onscripter, now with F/sn it's Kirikiri... I really want to translate one of those game into polish. If anyone has any idea how to make polish characters appear please help! Thanks in advance. // One more thing - in Narcissu in places where polish chars were used are japanese characters and in F/sn dots... Last edited by Blackiris; 2009-08-14 at 03:24. |

You need a different game engine, one which will work with polish (which means renpy or Ponscripter). Or someone who can somehow get you a polish enabled kirikiri build.
If you do take another engine, then you might have to convert some kirikiri stuffs to that other engine, but as long as it's doable... |

But - just a few minutes ago I ran f/sn with AppLocale (japanese language selected) and I've got something like that:
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/4398/humph.jpg polish characters... but - they are between blank spaces... I'm puzzled - I've no idea how to remove them :( Anyone? // Ponscripter don't work with polish chars - I was trying to use it in Narcissu and Tsukihime translations - it's just not working, displaying japanese characters in place of polish. Not that it will help with your Fate/stay night translation, but ponscripter should handle Polish fine; you need to make sure your 0.txt or such is in UTF8 and ponscripter is aware of it (don't remember off hand how to tell it that)

First of all - Ponscripter doesn't work with kirikiri engine... there's no 0.txt file - just about 900 .ks files ^^"
One more interesting thing - when you're reading text it looks like in this link I've posted above... but when you are scroling text up, it's as it should be: http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/1011/scrollk.jpg I'm 100% lost for now - it's the only thing I need to manage and I can start translating... |

I figured it out - it's was all fault of font which f/sn is using, I just added polish fonts to it and it's working great :3

He meant for Narcissu, not F/SN. :]

Oh - right, but with Narcissu it's also not working - font editing is best solution I guess...
But about Narcissu - Insani didn't give me permission for translating from their version so I guess I'll take care about F/SN :) |

All you need is an unicode font, UTF-8 encoded script (decode nscript.dat, convert it from Shift-JIS to UTF-8, name it as 0.utf) and the latest build of Proportional ONScripter from Mion's ONScripter Corner. |
