I've attempted to extract data from the .xp3 files of Kurai Mirai 3 (by FlyingShine) using insani's KiriKiri tools. This is what I see:
C:\[...]>xp3-extract.exe scenario.xp3 scenario Expected "#01" at position 0xC3EEB but saw "#00". Traceback (most recent call last): File "xp3-extract.py", line 104, in ? assert (indexoffset+compsize+17 == filesize) AssertionError I, terribly lacking in knowledge of the technical, have no idea what just happened. Could anyone tell me how this went wrong? Alternatively, is there a different program that might help me? |

insani's tools are as old as hell, they are really incompatible doing anything
use something else, like Extractdata

Alternatively, try crass, which has somewhat better support for encrypted archives.

Indeed, insani's miscellaneous tools are generally unsupported. We tend to just update them as needed for any particular game we're working on, and don't pretend to maintain a comprehensive toolset for every game out there. They aren't even linked from our main site, for instance.

ExtractData seems to work. Thanks, all.
