Wow, that's great news. :o I bet the game they're making will be really extraordinarily, if they thought that it was such a great idea that they just had to get back together and make it. Maybe a rival for Gin'iro?

Holy....

The only better news than NekoNeko reforming is that it's apparently NekoNeko reforming because they simply have to create this GAME OF AWESOME. I believe I will put aside the money for it starting... oh, now.

And to think I was happy enough with their upcoming PS2 port of Scarlett. Now I'm doubly overjoyed!

Did I read that right to say that he hopes to the webpage back up by Comiket?

You're buying too much into the hype.

Much of the team was already intact at Cotton-Soft (same legal entity, different name, different leader), so it's less of a regrouping than a return of the original visionary.

Translation = Narcissu didn't provide the big break someone had hoped for, so it's back to eroge for now.

I think it's more that he's just done with the (narcissu) franchise.

Actually, his hope was that Narcissu could leverage a break into different media like TV and cinema (including the dream of taking on overseas projects - the foreign translations opened his eyes to those possibilities).

That's partly why Kataoka put so much time and money into Side 02nd. Coupled with free distribution, the aim was to attract a lot of people, including different demographics and nationalities. So the return of Nekoneko Soft really means that it's back to business as usual.

And sometimes that makes all the difference. He says Cotton-soft will still be running, and Neko Neko Soft will also be running. It'll be interesting to see how the games compare between the two.

I know Cotton Soft is often posited as NNS v.2, but it's missing one crucial ingredient: Kataoka. Sure, it's essentially the same team, and he's still around working on his stage-nana projects, but it's the sum of all the parts that really made NNS what it is. Or was. Is again. Something something.

Hehehe, interesting thought, who told you that? :p

Tomokataoka san only works for that little girl in his heart, he doesn't work for anything else. As for side 02th, he just HAVE to create that little story with lamune 79s' as the background music.
