I come bringing news mostly bad,

Ok so our translator all our staff, except for me and mafuko i think, live in the Philippines and have been greatly affected by the floods that have happened. They are currently volunteering and looking for family members.

As well our translator's computer is filled with mud and dosen't know if he can salvage the hard drive all he has are the files from his laptop days 8-11.

Being one of the only ones who have no personal contact i'm not sure but if it is true the curse of Navel translations continue.

I'm not sure if he will give up on this or what but he has decided at least for the next project to be Lass's 3days

Ahh my regards to them. I have family in Manila, and they say the situation is indeed very grave.

I hope the translator will clean his computer from mud and will release the patch. I know many people who bought Tick Tack! just because of your translation project!

Fan translation is not a day job, it is a hobby; and fan translators, hackers and editors give up their time so that those of us who don’t read Japanese can enjoy some great stories. If your not happy with waiting. or how a project is proceeding then learn Japanese and read it yourself.

Furthermore anyone who buys a game before a fan translation has come out really does so at his or her own risk.

No offense intended, but personally I have trouble believing that serious work was going on with a project that the editor said he never saw the scripts and suspected it to be a hoax, and the translator claimed to be going quickly, then that work no one ever saw was lost to a flood. I am more incline to believe it was a hoax.

I don't take any offense to that I'm only doing what is part of a job i have taken on myself since no one else in the group has project management skills.

an update on my long journey to actually get scripts:
I have requested for our translator, again, to actually get added to the SVN we'll see if he ignores it

I had these sort of problem happening to myself too, so that's why I ask my translators to send me their scripts once they are done, so if they disappear or lose it somehow, at least it won't have been done for nothing. I think that's also something you should do, if your translator doesn't mind.

I can't believe someone took my comment seriously. Everyone knows this translation (group) is just a joke. ^_^
