Akatsuki no Goei Translation Project

Well am the umm admin of Hidoi~! Translators we basically translate mangas, but many people suggested/requested us to try doing a VN. 1st i was not so keen translating a VN alone could be a headache plus IT IS NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS :p

But later our team grew and many more members wanted to work on such a project. So after a rather long discussion we decided to go ahead with it. Many ppl will ask why we picked this game, why not some other VN which is more famous and has a bigger fan base... quite simple i played the game liked it.. it's simple.. IT'S SHORT xD. Although we got 4 translators on team, we don't plan to rush it kinda do it on our own pace.... Anyways i'll stop my rambling here and post the status (some member asked me to post this up here....)

Though if you have 4 translators you need a good editor who can fix the difference in their translation/writing styles, don't overdo it.
Also the girl on the screenshot is not Haruka, her name is Reika.

Uhh we do know that... that's why i said:

Looks like they just changed the URL of their forum.

Anyway, don't expect much out of this. Even with a great translation, Akagoei would be terribly unfunny in English thanks to the huge amounts of manzai and other Japanese humor.

(Personally, I found it absolutely hilarious in Japanese. I really need to get around to playing the second and third games in the series.)

Last status update was 06-05-2010. Seems to be alive. The username wat3v3r is quite a frequent poster on their forums.

Project is alive but seems like it's progressing slowly.
PS. I'm not working on it, and a lot of work is done silently by each Hidoi member. The board section for it has slowed down much though, I'm not sure why myself...Maybe I'll ask wat next time I see him.


Oh, and sorry on behalf of SH for changing the url. We had problems with the old server and had to move. We're also still in the process of revamping the forums, but the url shouldn't change again....

The third game is notable for having the worst-written H scene in all of eroge in one of the omake scenes! Probably be fun to translate too
