Hourglass of Summer doesn't play on PC

I dunno why, but a few recent dvds can't play on my computer.
I first noticed this when I popped in Hourglass of summer. Windows/realplayer/media player classic/winamp told me to update the drivers, but I found none for my dvd/cd player.

Any ideas?

btw,
is ther anyway to get the movie song in the beginning sung by kotoko, and the end song? Seeing the ost, I noticed there was a song missing.

I just looked it up, the song is called "went away".

Given how popular KOTOKO is, just do a search for it in your favorite search engine (don't forget to add & KOTOKO to your search ;) )

Try VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). The menus works a little funny on it (text isn't visible unless moused over) but the game runs fine. Note- to view passwords go to the root menu(rightclick--> navi--> DVD menu --> Root). DVD menu takes you back to the main menu and you lose your progress.

I'd recommend using PowerDVD if you're playing Hirameki's AnimePlay DVD titles on a PC. It's the only program that will render the chapters/etc. properly.

well as stated above, VLC does the job well enough to work but yeah powerDVD is a better program. *nod* Its also expensive XP. (50$)

Regarding Hourglass of Summer, I've never actually gotten the password system to work under PowerDVD (also, VLC is much more convenient for skipping previously read text. PowerDVD tops out at 3X speed before crashing). However, that program runs Phantom of Inferno exceptionally well.

Use PowerDVD.
