Default Question about versions of Kanon game

Hi ^^

Oki, right to my question:

What is the difference between the "adult" and "all age" version of the kanon Game?

I often read about the "adult" as the "hentai" version, but after reading many other sites I'm getting really confused and I really can't think of Kanon as hentai.

I've played the "adult" version, but couldn't see a difference.

Please help poor Ayu (me ^^) to understand this *bows*

*munches a Taiyaki while waiting for replies*

The main difference between the 'adult' and the 'all-age' versions are the ero-scenes at the end of the story.

The vast majority of the story remains the same across both versions. If you're using Haeleth's current patch, it doesn't get to the ending scenarios, so both versions would appear the same.

I can never find where Halaeth said it, but I do believe he said that when the patch is completed, he going to make an option to take out the h-scenes.

Keep in mind that the ero scenes only happen via a single choice you select in the game. Thus it is not inevitable compared to other games.

Also, in contrast with the h cgs from adult version, all age version is said to have other cgs and events to cover the gaps. Though, since I only have the adult version, I don't know what cgs and what events.

You know, that would be something I'd like to know as well.

Note that the adult Standard Edition includes all the additional CGs from the all age version.

That's nice to know...is the same true of Air? I bought the adult SE mainly because it was significantly cheaper at himeyashop than the all-ages version, but it'll be a while before I can read well enough to get very far in it.

Same as Kanon. Air SE contains additional CGs and mini events of PS2 version.

Any examples you can think of off the top of your head?

I've not compared them by myself either.
According to a fanpage,
http://www.bx.jpn.org/~yttlord/oka/fc_arl.html

Text:
Added scene: "nagashi so-men" battle royal.
Removed or rewrited scene: Whole adult scene. Minority's drinking scene.

Additional CG:
Kano who is putting on clothes in the composition of her H scene. (Replacement of adult scene)
A CG which related to "so-men".
Kanna meddling in a chanticleer.
Yukito embracing Minagi. (Replacement of adult scene)
Minagi and Yukito on a bus.
Some CGs of Haruko who is speaking to Sora.

EDIT : Oops, It's comparison of PC adult and PC all-age. so SE probably remains the drinking, I think.

All those are in the PS2 version. I'm glad I'm not going to have to buy the game again! :D

However, the PS2 version did remove some things that are present in all the PC versions, like the references to Haruko riding while drunk. The SE version is essentially identical to the all-age PC version, with the additional scenes in the adult version restored.

More information than you want or need.
