My Japanese isn't great, but I think it's basically minori saying:

If you violate the following terms Minori will sue you to death. NNL has nothing to do with this.

• No Name Losers released illegal patches in the past
• Any sites that host these do not distribute them
• If you have them on your PC already, you don't need to delete them [probably wrong]

It's basically just saying to delete any of NNL's previous releases if you have them, stop distributing them if you are, and not to redistribute them in the future. And if they catch you redistributing them, you get to deal with minori's lawyers, I guess.

Miniori is hilarious... and I can't believe I wasted my money on Ef

As for NNL I'm guessing they are redoing the patches..?

It says on the site "All fansubbed work, including ef and Wind -a breath of heart- , has been discontinued".
Sadly, I doubt it will ever be available again. It's not like they can sell it now everyone has had a chance to play it.

Regarding Wind and ef, minori's stance toward the overseas sale of eroge is clear. They aren't interested unless there's official approval from either a government or a recognized rating board. Unless that point is dealt with (either a change of heart on minori's part, which is unlikely, or NNL goes through ESRB, which seems equally unlikely), don't count on those games being officially released.

On the other hand, Eden* is fair game. It's a non-adult game, so there are no such issues to worry about. Chances are good that a deal with NNL might kill two birds with one stone - they get English distribution for a non-adult game (money in their pockets without the risk), and they officially put an end to NNL's eroge translations (they can't stop further distribution among users, but putting a stop to NNL was their only aim in the first place). It's a win-win situation for both parties!

Then don't let them catch you? I'm sure there's much more to come than they're putting out.

My question is why NNL would publish a notification intended towards consumers of their translations in Japanese, given that probably around 100% of said consumers would not know Japanese.

I'd almost like to open up Gipface's head and have a look inside. I'm sure we'd make some great contributions to neuroscience that way.

Cool

I don't see any problem with unofficial patches floating around, since they are free of charge and has no malware inside. As for NNL - they are trolling us again... probably.
