The long awaited new patch is out. This is alpha 3 and includes the routes from Konomi, Tamaki, Manaka and Yuma, with a few more edits and some translation check. There is also a new executable and font to go with the patch making it display nicer on screen in English with a smaller font. Thanks to Velocity7 for the updated programming, formatting and extra translation checking (Yuma).

Now that I'm back from Japan, hopefully I can pick up the translation progress again. Feedback, as always, is most appreciated.

is it just me or transitions when going to the menu are very slow?
actually... transitions to different scenes do too...

EDIT: nvm, dunno what happened but when I reinstalled the game it was fixed... Thanks for the patch conman! =D

I'm having the same problem as AlphaSixNine. And reinstalling the game hasn't worked either. Any ideas?

Sorry about double posting but guests can't edit. I've managed to sort it now by reinstalling, running the original To Heart 2 exe before finally copying and running the new To Heart 2 exe. Not sure why that works but it does.

Ohh YESSS, I have played games from KEY and from Type-Moon(and many more) but still I have not played any from Leaf/Aquaplus.....
I look forward to see how their games look/sound /feels like---->me happy!!!

Sure. Lovable till the end, where if you couldn't fap to them, you'd feel seriously let down.

These alphas are without the common route correct?

There is no "common route" as such. Each character's route is travelled at various times, but most of it is Konomi's. Thus, if you play this latest patch, you'll get very little in Japanese if you choose selections for those 4 characters.

You can also deal with the lagged transitions, and effects through your menu. If you chose the middle menu on the top and the second option down you can change the speed. The top two will get the game running at a normal rate.

On a side note I can't save anyone know how to deal with this problem? I've tried reinstalling.

With the new game version, old save files will no longer work as the jump points have changed. However you should still be able to save.

Hmm had the same problem as "Matthew" ... tried his method.. and it kinda worked.
but i have still the problem that i can't see the video at the beginning or the opening
maybe it's because of my system W7 x64 .. any tipps?

I heard something about disabling aero to get video to work.

hmm.. well that didn't work ...
but now i found something wierd.. if i move the window while the movie runs
it shows a fixed picture.. and it changes every 2 seconds o.O
