Any reason why he was fired? That really sucks :( Wow my computer shows dots for the short story ...geh..

Pretty artwork....

I think it's cool that they have more male characters. If ever an anime conversion no complaining for lack of males XD. I just hope there won't be all that shounen ai fandom or anything >.<.

According to Maeda Jun, he only came to work two days a month. Admittedly a pretty good reason for firing someone, but fans seem divided on whether he should have divulged it, given its undeniably detrimental effect to Suzumoto's future employability.

You'll need to have the Adobe Acrobat Japanese plugins installed in order to read it.

I don't know about that - from what I've seen, most writers are a lot better at writing for female characters than male...

Eroge authors these days, they think they can just waltz in and pick up their paycheck.

No they don't, that's just this guy. They'll find someone to replace him, I bet.

Internal conflict/dissatisfaction within these companies doesn't seem to be exactly uncommon (due to burnout, creative differences, shaky relationships with co-workers, etc.). Key is clearly no exception. However, with Maeda's comments, the situation seems to be degenerating into an id software-style case of mudslinging, with an employer publicly skewering a former employee to drive home a point. Personally, I think it's pretty brash of him divulge the exact circumstances behind Suzumoto's firing, regardless of how strongly he might feel.

Actually, it's 135.
Each page is worth 2.

Still, that's one hell of a short story.

My bad. That higher math trips me up every time. Regardless, 70 is pushing the limits of short story - 135 is treading on novella ground!

Hinoue-chan's art's cute as usual. Na-Ga's art seems to be a bit on the generic side.

Incidentally, it was also announced today that Key staff writer Suzumoto Yuuichi (Planetarian, Air, Clannad) has been fired - a unanimously unpopular decision, given that he was one of their more highly regarded writers.
Nande! Doushite!

That sounds like Suzumoto-san, all right.

Still, the guy could write, so it's a shame that he was fired. They've managed to lose two of the three best writers to have ever worked for Key now.

Pretty... although the character design for Kurugaya Yuiko looks far too much like Hijiri...

I see Hinoue-chan got away with her penchant for black school uniforms once again ^_^

Na-Ga's designs are all right, but they really arent distinct enough for something as bold as a Key game.

I'm sure I'm going to get a few sideways looks for this statement, but I prefer Itaru's younger looking character designs.

At least so far as this game is concerned, the more lolish characters seem to have a lot more .. err, well.. character to them.

My favorites are the two on the first page - komari and.. natsume was it? On the other side, i've never been a fan of the parisol-wielding shy type -_-

It almost feels like I already know the kannjiri character - but then again thats not really a bad thing!

I hereby nominate Suzumoto-san to write for Natsunone <.<;;
