[Disc] KyoAni = Paganini - Kanon 2006 - A Steady 4/4 Meter

That was.....amazing. Despite not getting 90% of it audibly (my Japanese is yet to be that good.) It was just.....beyond words!

Things I noticed:

It's as though they went straight from the script. Though there are a few obvious deviations. As well as some fanservice, which was a little unexpected.
They used the original score, which fits really well with the animation. One thing to look out for, Canon is in Kanon.

Speaking of which, I'm glad the episodes are taking on musical terms, like overture and introit.

Anyway, their playing Pachelbel's Kanon in the cafe was cracking me up, as was the "What kind of jam is this?" in the preview. I'm glad they left in all these various little jokes, like Yuuichi's "bad name memory" and calling the whole "Ayu Ayu" thing. :D I wished they didn't make the dream part so haunting, though. Would've been fine with just a white backdrop.

Nevertheless, this episode gave me some very good memories of back then... Heh heh.

I've never downloaded an anime before, especially one so soon after it was aired. So I have no idea where to look. xwx;

More like revived the old memories, and gave us new memories. It's going to be hard to wait another week for the next episode. Or the few days for a sub, and the time for the HD Raw and the HD sub....

The way that they handled the foreshadowing (so far as ayu ayu is concerned) stood out as one of my favorite facets of the episode. Perhaps I just didn't understand it at the time, but I don't remember anything like it from the early episodes of the first Kanon series.

Oh, and I doubt there's anyone who didn't enjoy watching Nayuki changing at some level...

note There's noticeably more fanservice than its older counterpart...

note II: Did I mention they use the game soundtrack for this, as they did with AIR? In addition, however, they also have some remixed tracks, too.

note III: Can you tell I'm insanely obsessive about this? XDDDD

note IV: Kitagawa gets no love. XDDDD

note V: They show most if not every single main character within the episode. Some are more in the background than others -- e.g. Shiori. Piro even gets an appearance!

note VI: Sleepy Nayuki = win

note VII: Ayu's crashlanding sequence = more win

note VIII: Ayu's wing-chasing sequence = made up of absolute win

Original Anime: Keroro-chan clock

Kanon 2006: Cat-on-house clock

Oh, and when Yuuichi narrates? That's total Kyon Mode� right there.

Was Makoto in episode 1? Perhaps she was around in the background, but I don't remember seeing her. Naiyuki's voice is awesome as always, with that subtle sleepiness infused into it.

I just watched it after a very painful slow download speed and OMG that was just pure awesome. I think i'll end up watching it quite a number of time before ep 2 comes out.
