I'm afraid following C++ classes in mips assembly is a bit more convoluted than I like, and I'm busy with some other stuff currently, so I'll put it aside for now. Maybe one day when I have some free time...

I reckon a good couple of years for the mere basics of C++.
Stick with the dictionary if you only want to read, otherwise you better start studying.

Is it your first programing language? C++ isn't that hard to start learning but it's difficult to master. If you're just starting out with programming, check out C#. Some people might dislike it just for it being made by Microsoft but it's a decent high level language with a lot of libraries available to it.

Maybe check out Stack Overflow since there's questions there about this subject.

I assumed that Rej12 had no prior experience with programming, so I may have overstated my definition of basics.
With that aside, yes, it is difficult to master especially if it is your first language.

Another approach can be to start with easier languages first and then working up to more complicated ones, but that is based solely on preferences.
