I'm more worried about 07th expansion's link to Key's website. Since the link is nothing more than "Ga-gao?!"

iyaiya, a lot of the staff this time were freelancers.

and romeo...if anyone has been following his recent jobs, doesn't have a good recent record.
Well, there we have it. Renowned, independent veterans (including Romeo Tanaka) on an upcoming Key title. Maeda in a supervisory/QC role.

Obviously, that's the only sensible route to go if none of their employees can fill Maeda's shoes. Key is VisualArt's premium brand/gold mine, and they can't afford to just piss that reputation away.

The Church of Rewrite..tology, starts here?!
I'm with you, brother. Although I'm thinking the holy grail will end up in FSN style, but let us live the dream while it lasts. Or before it starts, for that matter. Now donate some money to this account.

!!! WAHOO!!! Thank you God!! My friends were all saying I was mad to think that something THIS good being announced on April Fools was real!!! XD They laughed at me! And mocked me! But now, I Have PROOF! MUHAHAHA! *crash of lightning comes down and frys him*

... *cough* Okay, enough of the crazy mad scientist act, this will definately be something of interest to pick up when it comes out. I'll even try to help out with the translation of the game as much as I can when the time comes ;)

It has Miru playing a super denpa, high tension, and probably ruthless killing machine character. By default that is win enough already.

On the topic of unexpected announcements that showed up from March 31-April 1: as of April 2nd, the project pages for Soul Link and Shizuku were still online. The former has a false download link, and the latter's download link just leads to a different page. I assumed these were April Fool jokes... especially in the case of Soul Link. So I'm a little curious why the pages are still online.

The Soul Link demo translation is legit (if Holyseal isn't working for you, try downloading the demo from one of the mirrors). I read it last night.

The Soul Link Translation is quite real I assure you. We're still ironing out some issues for the Trial Version patch, thus why It's listed as Beta, but Translation of the Game is already well underway. My translation is currently at the beginning of Chapter 2 (Ryouta's Chapter), though I haven't really done any editing yet. It's progressing at a steady pace, though I'll admit Seinarukana is distracting.

Thanks to RG4619 and Kouryuu for your replies. Yes, I had assumed that the Soul Link translation was a joke. And yes, I was a bit surprised to see that the Soul Link patch included several legit-looking .ini and .bin files.

So... is the Shizuku project a joke?

Not at all! We'll be happy to send you the patch - just as soon as you send us photographic evidence of your PC-98 machine and complete set of Shizuku floppy disks (with disk A broken into four separate pieces).

EDIT: actually, no, I don't have that either any more
