Is that the one bundled with Canvas fandisc, Canvas 2 + fan disc, and Canvas 3? That's interesting to know that it doesn't work with that version... You would think they're the same. Maybe it's the CD version of Canvas 2 or something? No, that wouldn't make sense either. Does it run with the original files at least?

I know in the Canvas 2 anime, they have cameos from Canvas 1. That's not the case in the eroge though. You don't need to know anything about Canvas 1 to enjoy Canvas 2.

It doesn't work like that.

I would like to thank you for the hard work that you have put into translating this game, there are not many people that would continue with a project but somehow you aren't one of those people, for that I thank you. This has been one of the games that I really wanted to play badly enough that I started to learn Japanese, so you have my eternal thanks. \(^_^)/

I've tried the patch with the orginial version of the game but i can't seem to see anything and it was all pitch black, i think that's the difference between the original version and the DVD version.

It also looks wrong in a different way when running in a windows xp virtual machine. But I assume that is because japanese support is not enabled in the VM. With wine, japanese characters appear correctly in the name selection menu, and the quit menu, so it should be fine (but wine can have weird issues)

Yeah, that's not a problem with font, nor is that an exclamation mark. It's supposed to be a emote that's unique to Canvas 2 (I think), and the only way I've found to make it actually appear in game is to turn on Japanese Uni-code for the entire system. I'm not sure how to do this in Linux, but in XP it should be under regional and language options somewhere.

Yeah, that version. The game runs fine unpatched. I'm wondering if the problem has something to do with the fact that Canvas DVD and Canvas 2 DVD are on the same install disc (but install seperately.)
