Well I have survived my first day in Japan and it is amazing over here. Today we were in Akihabara and there is just so many stores to go into. Made off with a lot of Angel Beats merchandise. Well it's time for bed here. Talk again tomorow.

Well made it back to the states today. I didn't get to meet Jun Maeda in person but we did go to Visual Arts and they did say they would give my painting to Maeda-sensei, so hopefully when i check my e-mails when I get to the house there might be a reply back. All and all it was an excellent trip picked up alot of good merchandise including Limited editions of Shuffle and it's sequel, Mizuiru, Kanon, Tsukihime, and Kogetsu Tohya, all bought at Softmap.

Ah, sounds like someone went to the "Used Games" Tower of Softmap. Yeah, those are some really good deals there. And totally worth it since Japanese 'used' still means 'exactly just as good as new, but not actually new'. Unlike what 'used' means in Gamestop...

Sofmap is nice but also be sure to go to Gamers and if you're interested, visit some doujin shops like Tora no ana (They have a big building in Akiba) and some minor doujin shops above and below ground.
Also, get an Akiba map, it's available around the Yamanotesen station and gamer building.
I'm quite certain that within walking distance from Akiba, there was a street filled with Japanese food and goodies (tho there are good food stores in Akiba too) it's always good to go to lots of those places :D
Around where is your hotel? (Around any train stations?)
Since there are tons of places in tokyo worth visiting if you don't plan to spend your entire week in Akiba! xD

Japan, if I think I have my facts right, is a very expensive place to live in.
And I think that map would be helpful...
