Think of the victims, or their families; how are they supposed to feel when they see an image or piece of writing glorifying rape or incest?

I’m not talking about taking an iron wall approach to censorship. I’m arguing only about censoring media that glorifies rape and incest. I am not talking about a censorship of the topics themselves, merely of media which vindicates/idolises the cruel practice of raping another human being.

In my opinion it would send a message to rapists and would-be rapists that civilised society will not tolerate inhumanity towards each other. It would send a message to victims that it is never their fault and that society condemns such acts committed against them. That rape is never okay and never justifiable.

Furthermore to the poster of “So you would rather that I rape real life people, than playing rape visual novels. Good idea!”, I’ll say the following. No. I would rather you see a professional in the form of a psychologist/physiatrist, before I see another person ruined by rape/incest/sexual violence. If after that you still can’t control the urge to destroy another human being, well I just hope fate does humanity a favour and you slip on some soap hitting the floor neck first.

I understand where you are coming from. Rape is a terrible crime that affects a person for the rest of their life. For less rape to happen, I think schools should give more in-depth sex ed about how rape can hurt an individual. This could definitely help. However, it should be noted that normal people don't just go out and rape someone because they are lonely or played an eroge. (even the people that love "dark eroge" usually say only an insane person would commit the acts they see in eroge) It takes either someone that's highly disturbed or someone that has rage for their victims. Eroge won't change that.

The problem lies elsewhere, you can't solve it with censorship.

Too bad your family(?) member got raped. But if you want my inner response, it's just "Too bad."; I can sympathize, but ultimately, it's not of a concern of mine. Really, why should it?

And I am not fan or rape or anything, but what will go next? Ban violence? Ban murder in fiction? Ban everything bad? My uncle was killed by train, should we ban trains? This ends nowhere.

Even games that glorify rape, should STAY as they are. Proof of that someone in interested in them is there since they sold (if they didn't they wouldn't be made).

Now what if I took your enjoyment away? Would you be happy about it? And it doesn't matter what was enjoyment about, by me playing rapelay, no one is getting hurt in any way! If I go psycho and rape people, then yes I am responsible. It is my fault, not anyone else.

Moreover, why is anyone even angry at rape games, when there are THOUSAND games glorifying MURDER or even mass murder (GTA, anyone?) and hardly anyone care? In my book, rape is pretty low compared to murder, and it should be like that! But why is everyone apeshit about rape? You can say, it is just game, it is just fiction? But somehow, same thing doesn't magically apply to rape? Why? I don't get it...
