Paletweb getting out of selling eroge games

when I went to check the tab/link to the windows software is gone.

There use to be pages and pages of titles you can see/browse. Now if you scroll down the drop down list and do windows soft... you have 2 pages only and some arent even eroge.

even the item update history has been pruned to remove the eroge games they added just a few days ago.

Wonder what happened. Guess its all down to HimeyaShop or HobbySearch.

Wow, you're right. Yesterday it was fine, today, gone.

Hmm. At this time, there is no notice to their customers with outstanding orders (I have LB:EX on order), so there's still some hope they'll follow through that much...

I wonder why?

There's only 2 pages of them left there though, the vast majority of which are either all ages or not VNs at all (Melty Blood, etc)

Well that sucks. Guess I'll have to get all my eroge from Yahoo Japan Auctions from now on.

I used "windows software" from my memory since I didnt have that page up or on a tab window... but I did mean "PC Soft(Windows)". Its close enough.

I do use or use to use Paletweb as my main source of getting eroge since they are often cheaper than the alternatives.

And yeah I do see 2 pages of stuff... mostly sold outs or non eroge stuff.

If you look/search hard enough you will find a title or 2 that doesnt show up on the list... but its marked as last stock.

I have some games on preorder as well... I hope they will be filled. If I had known they were gonna get out of the eroge business I would of used up my points that I have with em 1st.

I asked Palet Web and they replied that since they have a physical store, they need to do inventory. They will be adding the PC Window games back as soon as they are done.

Off-topic: What language did you use to ask them? My Japanese composition is terrible, so I always write to them in English, but they still haven't responded to me on this issue.

A bit late to the issue, and with zalas' e-mail query the point is probably rendered moot, but I'm having a hard time seeing why the lack of the Windows PC section on their site could have ever sparked the leap in logic that Paletweb was getting out of the eroge business. Eroge is by far Paletweb's big moneymaker, as the import console games they sell are often priced high enough as to be overlooked by Western importers with a sense of the true going rate for these things, and they only recently began to get into the doujin/manga areas. It might have been better to simply ask them from the start instead of preemptively deciding that the sky was falling.
