While constantly pushing back releases is in bad taste, considering MangaGamer, unstable release dates is the least of their worries :p

Don't complain you ass, it's probably for our own good.
I prefer this than crappy translation like before.

What if you get both?

That's gonna a HUGE uproar, and would probably add fuel into fan-translation efforts.

I won't be surprised if Simbin's RACE PRO for the 360 was released before DC and Suika.

(Note: RACE PRO was pushed back from its street date a month ago from Nov 2008 to sometime in Jan 2009).

It wouldn't surprise me if makura's SAKURA NO UTA was released before DC.

Okay, it actually would surprise me quite a lot, but leaving that aside =p

(Sakura no Uta has been coming out 'this year' since 2005 or so. The website says it's coming out in 2008. I find that a little hard to believe)

It seems like they're working on all the games in their release list simultaneously, which is kind of dumb. They should stop doing what they're doing and just focus on one game at a time since nothing is going to be released at this rate.

I was all excited when these guys popped up and licensed Da Capo. I was hoping they'd release that first instead of all those yaruge surprise sex games. And Suika too.

Oh well, at least there's Princess Waltz and Kazoku Keikaku to look forward too...

Translation is outsourced, which is why all games are in simultaneous development. Where they need improvement might be overall supervision and quality control, both of which seem non-existent at this point.

Unless I'm mistaken, JAST USA relies on a similar translation model, with most games handled by freelancers (some projects progress faster than others, depending on the volume of text and the speed of the contracted translator). However, there's strong internal involvement during later stages, so releases are polished by the time they master up.
