I like ONE because I think it's a good execution of a good concept. It's, to me, the game that defines the nakige genre, and it surpasses a number of Key's later offerings. It doesn't pull a single traumatic event out of nowhere like a lot of nakiges do to try and artificially make the story sad - everything is telegraphed well in advance. The characters are excellent and most importantly don't randomly change partway through with no explanation - although they mature as characters, they don't change fundamentally, even during the H scenes. Each route is interesting and has plenty to offer on the story side, even Shiina's route, which I didn't hold much hope for in the beginning.

For reference, I _loved_ Nagamori's route and don't understand those that don't =P

Misaki > Nagamori > Akane > Mio > Nanase > Mayu.

I quite liked Mayu's route nonetheless, though - there's no routes in ONE I disliked.

I've been doing every route in One, following Asceai's walkthroughs (thank you btw), and i still haven't heard bgm18 (named "A false Tempest" in music mode).

I was just wondering if i missed something along the way...

You should have heard it by now. It plays in a total of 2 spots.

1. On the day of the text where you help (or not) Nanase. After the announcement that Kouhei (or Nanase, if you're that cruel) gets 0 marks, it plays.

2. When Nanase's having stomach troubles a bit later, if you fail to help her, the song plays.

I'm pretty sure the first one definitely happens no matter what, although the second doesn't necessarily.

Hah, and it's still quite expensive for such an old game. I guess they still feel their brand image for that game is worth that much.

Thread resurrection again, but you can now buy ONE from dlsite (for people whose cards don't work with gyutto or people who prefer dlsite)
It's the same price on either store; gyutto gives you more points though so I'd still recommend that. I dunno if the serial number stuff would interfere the patch or not though
