Trouble buying Planeterian.

http://planetarian.insani.org/guide.html seems to be outdated, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to buy the DL version. Can anyone help?

Oh, darn it. Now I'm having trouble reading it. @_@ I installed the game to my Program Files, and the translation patch was directed there when installing as well. I start up the game, and I am immediately told that patchui.exe has stopped working. I have Japanese Locale as well as that sazanami gothic font that insani suggested. Halp again?

I still can't figure out what to do. I uninstalled the English patch, and the game then works fine. That's not really an option for me, though. Anyone have ideas?

If I recall, there was a version of Planetarian the patch was incompatible with and nobody ever bothered making a version (of the patch) that worked properly.

It's still possible to patch it, but you'd need RLDev and that thread on the Gemot with the instructions (I just ran a search but couldn't find it, sorry).

But apparently it's for the CD edition of Planetarian. I don't think that's the one you have /;

Some things have changed with the version of the planetarian release since insani and Haeleth did the translation release. Have you considered e-mailing insani for assistance?

Unfortunately insani's present stance is that unauthorised translations are immoral.

Not that I necessarily disagree but that's not a topic worth discussing here =p

The planetarian translation wasn't authorized by Key (or at least it wasn't authorized for the version you're trying to get it working with), so good luck.

Though I have to admit I'd be fairly surprised if insani didn't offer support to someone who actually bought the game. I mean, they haven't actually taken the patch down or anything.

You -could- always go find a download for the version that DOES work with the patch. (Just don't go around asking for links)

I mean, some things are just outside your control. If you bought the retail edition anyways, you should at least be morally in the clear, even if it doesn't excuse you legally.
