Default Xp3 tools. Help!

Well I'm quite new at all this but I really don't know how to use the Xp3 tools. I had tried everything i know but nothing.

Can someone give a detailed guide of how to use all of the functions? Hope to hear an answer soon.

My guide: Don't use them.
They are very old, and not that much helpful. Sure, they maybe(?) work for unpacking and repacking normal xp3, but they sure wont for the encrypted one.
Even so, as far as I know, you are way better with repacking it using either crass (for encrypted one) or using something like ExtractData, which works way better and is a GUI.
For packing, either use default XP3 packer, if you don't have to have it encrypted, or just find some hacker, because I am not sure how can you get the key out of xp3 for encrypted ones...

I used crass for unpacking, its very nice.

But, now, what repacker would you recommend me for Sharin no Kuni?

Well, first off, what are you doing to Sharin no Kuni, exactly?

Anyway, I just used insani's unpacking/repacking tools for Sharin, to be honest. It's an older game (2005) and their tools are completely compatible with it.

Now, if you want to mess with Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo, though, you're gonna need to use the actual packer included with the SDK, which is krkrrel.exe in kr2_230r2\kirikiri2\tools. Yuukyuu is also extremely finnicky about which files can go in which patch archive, so you'll need to do a bit of testing to figure out what works.

ExtractData and Crass work properly with both games.

xp3-extract *.xp3 dir
xp3-repack dir *.xp3

Pretty simple to use.

I have no idea if the engine or font supports Spanish characters or not. Guess you get to find out!

xp3-extract *.xp3 dir
xp3-repack dir *.xp3

*.xp3 > the file you want to extract/how to name the repacked file
dir >where to extract/what to repack

example:
xp3-extract data.xp3 lolwut <will unpack all files from data.xp3 into the subdirectory /lolwut/
xp3-repack script patch.xp3 <will pack all files in /script/ directory, save it into patch.xp3 file

Why the hell so many people are unfamiliar with console tools?! BLAME MICROSOFT!

Okay, now seriously. If you are not familiar with console applications, then please try AnimED. See my signature for download links. And if you, *****, will not understand how to use it, I swear I'll **** you.
