Default Non-Japanese Visual Novel

Greetings everyone! This is my first post, but I've visited this forum for the past 12+ months.

I just learned about a visual novel called Bionic Heart. It's created by a European Indie game developer called Tycoon Games. Ren'Py was used to make it.

I played the demo, so I cannot give a proper review. Game Tunnel reviewed the full game, and you can find the article here. The art style is manga/anime inspired and looks really good. The game also features voices.

Hopefully, this visual novel turns out to be a decent read.

If you want to know of other non-japanese VNs, Katawa Shoujo seems very promising (only the demo is out, and is very good, on par with japanese comercial works).

Although 'japanese commercial works' themselves vary from masterpieces to complete crap

Yes how true. Katawa Shoujo was ok in my opinion. I'm still never fond of stories of meeting the girls, then choosing them.

Then again, that's a lot of them. I'm just not too fond of Katawa Shoujo. I like the idea behind it.

I don't like the fact that Katawa Shoujo is an annoying "look, I'm dying, now please cry everyone" VN. Like Narcissu.

Anybody tried Fatal Hearts? It looks like a neat otome game? Any good? (By European indie developer Hanako Games).

Here's a little preview video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvXC_5kk0O0
(The first minute of the video.)

During my Internet travels, I stumbled upon another non-Japanese VN called The Stolen Diamond Ring. It's made by an indie game developer named Nekomura Games. You can download a demo and find out more about it here.

The artwork is anime/manga inspired and was made using Ren'Py. It's not otome. It reminds me of a Phoenix Wright game.

I only played the demo, so I can't give a full review.

Aw, that's disappointing...
(I already bought it though, so guess I must give it a shot!)
