Default ANGEL TYPE

ANGEL TYPE, the minori feat. aeris game... can anyone here recommend this game? There's almost no English information on it, and I've not found much helpful Japanese information on it either.

It also received a mediocre (70%) ranking on EroGameScape, but it is (mostly) a minori game, and I'd like to know more about it. There doesn't appear to be a free demo of it either.

EDIT: Another peek at EGS, even Bittersweet Fools beats this game (even though I liked BSF a lot, even considered trying to TL it once in a moment of senselessness, the eroge-playing community seems to ignore it almost entirely). Maybe ANGEL TYPE is just average after all...

I played it few years ago, and if I remember well, game had really nice melancholic atmosphere, reminded me on ef in that aspect (but has much different character design), music was nice except for 'engrish' OP. Don't recall much of the story though, I think main character had history of some (mental) health problems so he was going to evening school cause of it. It was short game too.
I think I liked the game overall, but not sure if I would recommend it to others.
Maybe someone that played it more recently can write better impression lol.

Oh yeah Bittersweet Fools is still my favourite minori game even though it dated a lot, BF was all about atmosphere too. Well I guess you might like AT if you liked ef and BF.
And erogescape scores are not that relevant if actual game fits (or doesn't fit) your tastes.

Yeah, I know that you can never tell with egs. Muv-Luv Alternative has been on the top for a while. Did I think it was a pretty awesome technical accomplishment? Sure. Did I think the production values were great? Yep. Did I enjoy the game? Not as much as I should have.

I liked BSF, I liked Haru no Ashioto (not as much as BSF, but there you go), and I found Wind quite enjoyable to play through _with the patch_. (fun fact, nnl's Wind translation is much easier to endure than the original game) And I bet I'll like ef when I eventually get to playing it (I'll grab the entire game once part 2 comes out, which is supposed to be sometime next year I think). So, hell, I might have to try out this ANGEL TYPE. I'll wait for more comments about the game, though--it's not cheap anywhere, and the usual places don't stock it even if it was.

Yeah, again to me it's all down to individual tastes, Haru no Ashioto might be objectively speaking the best minori game, but personally I liked it the least.
I don't know how hard is to purchase AT but If you're short on money I don't think it's smart paying full-price or more for it.

Well, this is more a future investment sort of thing, but I want more minority spirit to tide me over until I play ef.

It might also be possible to get palet or mandarake to stock it, but I'll wait and see

Yes, I've got a copy of the opening video. I like it. It's not Makoto Shinkai work, but it's nice.

Actually there are 2 different OP demos out there, as the game was rereleased or something like that.
And btw, I love that OP aswell. And I dont like a lot of OPs.

Yeah, the game changed developers midway through production (well, the original studio canceled the project and folded shortly after). One OP demo dates back to mid-2001, while the other was released by minori.

Well, the one I've seen was the one available for download from minori's site so I'd assume it's the modern one.
