With the conference last night, MangaGamer mentioned that they have more Navel games than just Shuffle, so it is very likely that they are planning a release of Soul Link in the future, another Navel game that has an ongoing fan translation.

Wasn't the Soul Link group dead? I actually managed to finish the anime (bazooka boing helped with that) and had a passing interest in the game.

Somehow, I don't believe heklin's story. A big case of someone getting arrested for possession of lolicon wouldn't just pass under the radar like this; it would be a huge ongoing topic at anime and comic websites. There'd also be involvement from the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund on his behalf.

I'd much rather have MangaGamer release Oretsuba than Soul Link or any game in the Shuffle franchise.

Unfortunately Oretsuba is extremely long and text-heavy so I'm not holding my breath at the moment.

I would rather see other games as well, but I think that releasing Shuffle first is the correct business decision, seeing that it has a decent fan base in the western world already thanks to the anime. (Yes I know there is a Soul Link anime, but it isn't nearly as popular)

Yeah, Shuffle is a very intelligent choice for MangaGamer. It's a recognizable (well, as far as that goes) brand name, short and easy to translate, and people have been waiting for a translation of it for years.

I just meant that I'd rather pass on Soul Link and Tick Tack/Really Really.

Except many people who don't follow the Visual Novel community will be interested in Shuffle since they liked the anime, and in terms of raw popularity in the west this is fairly high up there. The same goes with Higurashi.
