PS3 version please, the Xbox 360 is regional locked by default, and even though the publisher can select to make their games to be regional free, the majority don't do it for some odd reason!

Any way, teaming up with NISA/Aksys and Ghostlight might be a good idea, they have a lot of experience with localization and marketing on the console. They should be able to help a lot in pushing the title farther then JAST alone can. Plus 5pb have some history with NISA/Ghostlight, so they might be more willing to talk if NISA is in the picture.

And give us a limited edition that come with few goods!

So Little Busters for the PC have been fan translated and released. And key is going to release a PS Vita edition of the title next month (don't know who their publisher is).

One of the things I wondered about in the past is: how successful would an English translation DLC -to a console Japanese VN- be? With PS Vita being regional free, LB for the PS Vita is going to be released next month and the fan translation of the all-ages PC version have been completed. Would this be a good chance to test if western punter would be interested importing a console VN and use the English DLC with it?

While there would be some differences between the PC and PS Vita version of the VN, the lion's share of the text should be identical.

Good question. I am not sure if you are proposing an official English version of Little Busters. If you are, then that could be rather difficult. Publishers might have a lot of trouble paying the licensing costs, much less making money from selling it.

I don't know if fan translators could take their existing text, and make it work on a Vita version of Little Busters. There might be technical issues.

actually, after thinking about it, only the developer or publisher can make a DLC for a console release, no one else can make it, sign it and uploaded it to PSN.

So unless key (or their publisher) decide to spending some money to polish and port the fan translation to the PS Vita, it is not going to happen.... but it was worth the thought.

Edit: If it does work out though, I was hoping that the first DLC would be free of charge, just to see if people will want to import and make use of it. In this case, the English DLC will be one of their selling points.

It also says
*Sojitz tried to make a deal with another company when they didn't get paid, they took the lead, and would not let ADV have any say.

*At the same time ADV was negotiating loan payments with a bank
*The deals "went away and were not consummated"
*ADV could not make the payments to the bank, notified Sojitz of this

(My Opinion on this) ADV is claiming Sojitz got into this all just to make a quick profit. They did everything they could, including overpaying for titles in order to squeeze every penny they could out of ADV. By overpaying and licensing a lot they were able to charge ADV fees, in addition to geting a large library of shows to then sell.

Let's blame fansubs again.
