AIR Standard Edition - Crashing

Hey everyone,

Whenever I load up my copy of AIR, after the introduction ends and the game should be really starting it just crashes. I have a downloaded save file of the rest of the game, and any chapter I try to start has the same issue. Do I just have a bad copy, or did I do something wrong? I haven't modified anything; it's just as it installed off the disc.

I'm running the game on Windows XP, and my operating system is set to Japanese format under the Regional & Language Options.

So the crash happens even if you go directly to SUMMER (instead of DREAM or AIR) in the menu?

Yes, though at least SUMMER seems to sort of load up the dialogue box more than the other parts wanted to.

How well do other REALLIVE games work on your computer?

the REALLIVE exe seems to be fairly compatible with older games (I just tried AIR Standard Edition with Little Busters' EXE and it worked) so there's the possibility of using a later REALLIVE exe that may fix your problem

If you don't have any other REALLIVE games you could try downloading a trial of a REALLIVE game like LB

This is the first time I've played anything with REALLIVE, so I have no idea.

I guess I'll have to go look for a newer version, then! Any ideas where I'd acquire that?
