Is that an actual release date I see for Little Busters?
http://key.visualarts.gr.jp/
It is!

AstCd2 2007-01-31 06:04

Notably, the rating has been confirmed to be all ages.

...does that mean another outcry brewing in Japan, a la Clannad?

Good to hear, since being all-ages will make it much more accessible to people. damn

Misu 2007-01-31 16:08

And one year later, Key will release:
Little Bastards Afterwords, the H sequel to Little Busters >.>;;

2007-01-31 22:04

ktkr

You should note that people were all happy about Muv-Luv Alternative being released later that year in 2004, though.

Unregistered 2007-02-01 04:16

this is the final だーまえ game.

General News: Continuing Coverage

Given that "General News" has gotten to be 40 pages now, I think its about time we opened up another thread for the news so it stays semi-readable. And what better then the announcement of Little Busters' Release Date to switch threads!

Please continue all news posts here.

Previous Threads:
Original General News Thread

(And yes, give me a day or two to figure out how to make this post at the top of this thread >.>;;)

I'm guessing that "だーまえ" means "All Ages". Am I correct?

Not even close. I think that's Jun Maeda's nickname.

luckyovermind 2007-02-01 16:33

I remember that there was this rumor going around, about jun maeda said something like "My life has come to an end". Oh yeah, please insert a word between "My" and "life", I donno how to translate that. XD

AstCd2 2007-02-01 16:47

Maeda Jun stated in a magazine interview sometime back that his creative life would end with Little Busters. Most fans have taken that as an indication that this will be the last title he works on before he retires.

Kid's intellectual property to pass onto Cyberfront (another publisher).
Games to continue to be sold.

zalas 2007-02-01 19:23

Now if only the US distributor of Half Life 2 sold Ever17 as well <_<;

Omgwtflolzz 2007-02-01 21:03

Hopefully this means more Memories Off games that don't suck.

Does passing over to stuff Cyberfront remedy the current situation posted here?

Misu 2007-02-04 12:46

They haven't gotten back to me yet on it. But after their license expires, they will have to renegotiate with Cyberfront now for an extension of the License. Since its a different company, who knows how it will turn out. I'll update more when I get more information.

Vatina 2007-02-06 05:04

I just read on ANN that there is going to be a Polyphonica anime soon: Link

(unless this has already been posted elsewhere)

Misu 2007-02-06 05:34

Yup, that was announced in General News months ago ^^;;.

To be exact, post #434 on 10/11/06 ^^;;.

ANN is slow sometimes >.>;;.

Vatina 2007-02-06 05:53

Just as slow as me xD

Billhead 2007-02-08 10:37

No Name Losers website back online, along with the Wind translation patch!

Misu 2007-02-08 10:41

Thats like old news... and is already said on the main page and at least three other threads here >.>;;...

But thanks anyways =P.

Billhead 2007-02-08 10:45

Yeah, I haven't been here for a week or so, now that I read the other threads I was trying to hurry and my post before anyone say it.

Misu 2007-02-17 06:36

Now heres a blast from the past:
http://to-heart.rightstuf.com/
Right Stuf has finally got their To Heart website up for the age old classic series. The R1 DVDs are supposed to be the best looking version of this series releases so far after being heavily remastered from the damaged Japanese master copies.

Reading the english cast, I think it's gonna be interesting! Esp. with Jessica Calvello (Zoe Fries) as Shiho and Veronica Taylor as Aoi XD

I think I may pick it up since they're only selling it for $15 on the site just to counteract my friend who's collecting that dark aura of depression known as Kiminozo which is just sitting there brooding cause neither of us are ready to watch it yet x.x

Ja, ne
-Rai

roxfan 2007-02-17 10:26

1999 is "age old"?

Misu 2007-02-17 10:29

Relatively =P... when 8 years is about 40% of your life, it is ^^;;.

Agilis 2007-02-18 23:13

^______^;; Thanks to 3 years waiting for Alternative, I have this happy amused feeling about delays now.

Narci2's delayed again - since he added that new character, he's having trouble scheduling the recording session it seems (the price of almost free labor I guess). But once that's done he might be able to have a target release date ^^;; Until then... mid-march? maybe?

Still, around the head of march it sounds like we might be seeing that mysterious movie thing that he had been working on for the project. Probably an AMV of sorts I'd imagine. Who knows. The web site will probably update once in the coming weeks with a new 4koma and a music track.

To Heart licensed? ZOMG. When did that happen and why did I not hear about it?! >_<

*pre-orders*

To answer your question, it was licensed over two years ago at some random con I can't remember the name. Exact license announcement date was 7/3/2004 =D. You most likely didn't hear about it cause it's been in remastering stages for that long >.>;;...

Unregistered 2007-02-19 14:40

To be exact, it was announced at Anime Expo 2004.

zalas 2007-02-20 12:59

Hrm... looks like eufonius (of Mag Mell fame) is going to be singing the opening song for the Polyphonica TV animation series

Reconquista page up. 180 degrees.

GreatSaintLouis 2007-02-21 10:35

Wow, they're really turning them out!

So has anyone played Natsumegu yet? I've got the trial edition installed, but I haven't even had time lately to play my new copy of Ever17 in English, much less work through a Japanese trial edition. How was the game received by fans?

Misu 2007-02-21 10:44

According to Agi, the game is quite hillarious =D.
And I must say, after reading quite of few of Celes's lines, jokes, and wordplays, I have become sufficiently amused enough to put this on my to buy list on my next order shipment from Himeya.

>_> <_< >_> Oh well, since Misu's let the kitty out of the bag, I'll inflict here a tiny bit of what I've been inflicting to everyone on irc. I'll covert more people into Celes fans this way!

Slightly compressed,
Note: she's cracking up all the while, loudly, in public.

Celes is <3

In a few short sentences. Nutmeg is hilarious. It's divided roughly into the happily hilarious first half, where I had to be careful not to laugh out loud at 3am. And a somewhat more serious second half. The seriousness varies in weight with each girl, so it's not going to knock you over all the time, but one in particular is wonderful. Kio Nachi as a scenario writer hasn't disappointed me just yet.
