There is a new diary entry on the stage-nana website. Can somebody please translate :O?

Nothing of particular interest, other than it's Hiyori's birthday (にゃうん~、おめでとう)

The rest says that he's totally forgotten that he set to attend the Comic1 event this April, (talk about annoying google-proof event names....) And that even if Narci2 were to be completed by then, there'd be no way the CD version would be ready. So instead, he'd probably have 100 commemorative telephone cards on hand, and some bags etc. accidentally left over from winter comiket.

La la laaaaaa

Because I haven't slept in about 24 hours a fluffy happy present to all...
Cotton's Reconquista OP theme was put up today...
http://www.cotton-soft.com/gameprodu...n/dl_thema.htm

Interesting, Faylan is singing it, just like with with Touka Gettan... Ah well, either way I'm an Elements Garden addict.
...
And as further amusement. Isshiki Hikaru has a sub-chara role in Reconquista. yay.

My "visual novel" alert was triggered: Fate/Stay Night has a blockbuster opening weekend in Japan, nearly beating Paper Mario.

Sales are impressive. However, we should bear in mind that Fate/Stay Night falls under quite a different market than mainstream video games (which are doing very badly as you might guess from these sales figures. Launch numbers used to be 4-5 times greater when the market was healthy), so it isn't likely that core gamers are suddenly adopting visual novels as a pastime.

These figures might show us where the otaku market is headed though. Key's PS2 ports bombed, and most bishoujo games aren't doing any better. However, Higurashi and Fate/Stay Night (on PC, this game has enjoyed three years of staying power.....) sold several times better than we might expect.

Umm... no. It's just a slow week, and Paper Mario is hardly the million seller. Same reason why a couple weeks back Higurashi hit #2. When a hit game comes out, it does very well. (See: Gyakuten Saiban 4 and Monster Hunter 2)

And all these sales show is that mere ports will not do it for people. That, plus the devoted fanbase and more wide-appealing types of stories will result in better sales.

On a slightly off-topic note:

The guidebook known for its ridiculously accurate portrayal of English and not at all for its moe-ness is now turning into an animated series ;o

Screens of the Little Busters OP

Unregistered 2007-04-29 02:07

Went down to Asobitcity (in Akihabara) and saw the Little Busters demo op.

Wow.

Key really has come a pretty long way.

Key CGs
* Kengo falling off a building holding someone looking like Sasami.
* Kudo with some strange tattoos all over her body.
* Disappearing Mio.
* Lots of focus on Rin in the op. One really important looking CG of a girl that might be Rin (with really different clothing) coming in during a major pause in the music, except the top half of her head isn't showing.
* Final shot of a photo of http://www.senakablog.com/archives/i...04-28-113.html

Looks like there's going to be an After scenario.
