F.I.A So someone pointed me to this thread. I am rather surprised to see someone who is interested to betatest my game. And for that, thank you.

And yes, the game in question is Winter Shard( Thanks to Anath for pointing it out before me), and it has seen its release thanks to the good helps I got from the beta-testers. It is my fault not to reinstate in this thread that it is completed. I apologize for the confusion.

As for betatesting, I will keep you that in mind for my future projects.

Ayato If you'll have me, I'm in ^-^

Anath It appears so. A quick google search for "Frederone" gives this review of a game called "Winter Shard" (though, curiously enough, this very forum thread is higher on the list of links than the review itself). A further Google search provides the official site for the game, which confirms that it's the same game being talked of here because it calls its genre "bleak and medieval."

Asceai That post is over two years old. Although I never heard of this getting released - you'd think beta testing would take less than two years. Maybe the name was changed or something.

Currently, the game is scripted to end(In short, you can finish playing it), but it does not have a full set of cgs, decent presentation, editing etc to name a few.

To prevent the unfinished game from leaking out of beta tester and further spoiling the public, please follow such procedures for those wants to beta-test:

1. Post in this thread that you volunter to be a beta-tester for my game.
2. I will then PM you the link for the download of a working beta(Response might not be immediate).
3. Beta-tester can later on PM me their comments over the game, what should be improved and such.
4. No informations(Plots, characters) should be allowed in this thread to prevent spoiling others. Keep them in PMs.

[NOTE]: The game's theme will be medievil, with a bleak storyline.

Beta-testers will be....
Good : Included in the Thanks list for their effort when the full version is out.
Bad: Spoiled with a rather unfinished game. Frankly, they will not enjoy the game as much as other gamers.

And lastly, a thanks to Haeleth for approving this thread.

Garven Oh, um, though it was through a different medium, I guess i'll post it here too, but I'm helpin' out too. Needs more commas.

F.I.A Request to fellow beta-testers:

Can you guys try and gauge the time needed to complete the game and post it in PM? Thanks in advance.
2006-11-08 12:55
Shii I sent in some comments. I might have the chance to play more later.

Well, to me, Lemmasoft is more of the developer's corner(A great one to boot). Currently, my game does not have technical issues in scripting and coding, but lacks public's presentation. Thus, I find it better if I ask for beta-testers in a Visual Novel forum, since most members will obviously have played more VNs than me. Yea, I am asking for gamers' point of view instead of developers'.

Keep in mind though when the full version is out, Lemmasoft will be the first to know of it.

[NOTE: I do not really like to be the one to decide if I should make you a beta-tester. Just PM me if you agree to, and I will gladly include you.]
