I think that this is the most polished OEL game we've released to date. There are a few other contenders (Go! Magical Boy's seamless soundtrack comes to mind, and a number of other games have reasonable art), but I think this one takes the cake.

One thing I'm observing is that the OEL development community is starting to reach a critical mass, as we're now able to attract artists who want to work on a VN (as opposed to game-makers who happen to be artists). I wonder if al|together and some of the translations have helped to improve awareness of VNs as a medium in the English-speaking world.

Certainly, people seem to be more aware of ONscripter then Ren'Py.

This is definitely on-topic. I do tend to encourage people interested in creating original games to take their questions to renai.us, but that's because they'll get better answers there, not because of any desire to restrict discussion here to Japanese games. :)

I look forward to having time to play this one. From the screenshots, it looks nice and polished, and there are some intriguing comments in the renai.us discussion thread that hint at a number of unusual design elements.

New/Old Well. Not bad, not bad at all. Although I had to go through it several times due to my annoying trait of seeing what every single decision does, it was enjoyable. Well, that's this one's average joe opinion in the least. Gotta see what the others think.

I just thought I'd post a quick message announcing the release of ATP Projects' new game, Ori Ochi Onoe. O3 features 9 endings, and takes about an hour to play through for the first time.

O3 can be downloaded from:

http://atp.manga.sk/games/o3/o3.htm

or from the Ren'Ai archives:

http://www.renai.us/

There are some sexual situations in this game, roughly about what one would see in an R-rated movie suitable for people over the age of 16.
