Make up any possibilities you can think of for the ending. Plausibility isn't necessarily relevant if you can think of some kind of relevance.
1. Being a vampire, she melts like butter in the sun. 2. She had previously thought the sun was cold and evil and was pleasantly surprised that it was warm; her astonishment is overdramatized in Kanonesque "words on white BG"-ness. 3. Rotation of the Earth had caused everyone to go through a time warp overnight, and it's suddenly summer. The reason the game suddenly ends is because the author can't draw bikinis. 4. She likes the sun so much, she stands in it for days straight; in the end she dies of skin cancer. BAD END 5. She realizes that the sky is full of cool things like the sun, and decides to become a rocket scientist. She eventually becomes the first vampire in NASA, and in the end takes off for Mars. |

The title ~snowdrop~ suggests that is alternative 1: Melting as ice at sunlight. But she was able at last to fell the warmness of the sun.
And yes, the "white blocks with black text in white BGM" leaved me in a state of "wha...", other alternative could be: The blood that she drank made her more resistant and was able to feel the sun without damage And the other, she goes Neko Mimi Mode, i suppose (i am not native english speaker, so bear and i ^_^) |

I think it's perfectly obvious that Toichi actually severs an artery in the opening scene, and the rest of the story is what he hallucinates as he bleeds to death.

I thought she was just an illusion caused by his cat.
Seriously. |

Or she WAS his cat. And when she goes in the sun, her true identity is revealed...
I dub this the "PNGJBZNA" ending. |

Maiko is actually into Dungeons and Dragons, and this entire thing was a crazy game session that she and Toisho were playing under BESM rules.
... I need to get off the d20 system. |

Wouldn't V:tM be a more likely game for Maiko? :P

(Has absolutely NO sympathy for angsty vampires. Saying that I sicked a party of level 8 Paladin/Level 5 Undead Hunter Mind Flayers on a group of PC vampires. The PC's lost. After the third group of 9 mind flayers. Don't complain of being a vamp, damnit! You're one of the most powerful PC monster characters in the game!) Maybe she is actually a Pureblood Daywalker, or, weirder, Evangeline A.K. McDowell's mother. (Negima) |
