Read this thread:
http://forums.haeleth.net/viewtopic.php?t=227 Kanoso is a parody game based on Kanon of exceedingly high difficulty both in terms of progress and comprehensibility, due to the fact that over 95% of the endings result in horrible death or humiliation, compounded by the fact that about 30% of the jokes refer to obscure early 90's shounen action manga. The original version has been available to download for free for some time now, although there is also a (superbly acted given the story) full voice version floating around. [EDIT: I really have to start using the 'preview' button... orz] |

Oh come on, Kanoso wasn't that bad.
I have to admit that Johnny scared me while I was playing the game, but it really was fun to see rude Sayurin and Nayuki's weird alarm clock message. I really had a good laugh. ^^;; [added] This was my favorite quote of the game btw |

Wow, you managed to play it? I never got past the bit where you first meet Shiori...

Come on! Play it again! XP I've heard there is Kitagawa scenario in Kanoso.... But I have no idea how to get his scenario... |

I haven't run across a Kitagawa scenario (the running joke being how he doesn't even have a tachie, it'd be suprising if he did have one), but it's worth persevering, as it's much harder (relatively speaking) to die near the end once you get onto the correct branches (to the extent where not knowing the minute differences between different versions of KOF is not enough to warrant death, anyway).
There's also a neat little collection of 'answers' published in doujinshi form by Hiragiboshi that explains all of the neta used for Kanoso and Kanoso 64, so it's not totally incomprehensible =P |

There's a full voice version?? 0_0
Too bad it doesn't run on the AVG engine - it would be fun to see if I could coax it to run under PalmKanon. |

On a vaguely related note, Quarter Iceshop have put my little april fool to shame. They've even produced a special webcomic series for the occasion. (Warning: it's just as sick as Kanoso in places.)

If only the artist would only put the same amount of effort into the woefully under-updated みなくら...

Dispite me having to supress murderous urges at that little prank, it is rather funny.
Kanoso.... What DOES that mean, anyways? |
