Kanon patch leakage

This isn't really news, or that new either, but NDT's Kanon patch was leaked.

This is pretty terrible of me to ask, but where might i find this leak? The reason I ask is, I fear they might just decide to drop EVERYTHING because of this one leak, which others have done. To Heart comes to mind, though it wasn't because it was leaked.... email is crystalpigz@yahoo.com

Yeah, I'm sure the translators are probably really upset about this. Hope that they won't give up on the patch just cause it got leaked (how the hell does something like that get leaked, anyway?).

I'm going to just wait for them to finish the patch before I give it a whirl. It's not that big of a deal to me considering how long we've already waited-- a few more years doesn't make a difference. We all already knows what happens plotwise anyway.

The massive flame wars going on seem to be pointing this way, but hopefully people will cool down in the days to come. I understand why they're upset, I would be too, but getting all butthurt and calling off the project isn't going to do anyone a bit of good. As much as I love the translation community, we can be waaaaaay too quick to get angry.

I can assure you, the translation is still being worked on. The reason we were upset was not just because it was leaked, but because of how and why it got leaked. I'm not going to bring the drama to these forums.

However I will say this: We DO have something planned for the people who have waited.

That's great news. I think I'm just a little paranoid after certain other incidents, and Kanon is my favorite visual novel so I really want to see it translated.

Where is all the drama located? I wanna know what exactly happened. Do the translator of Kanon have a forum or something?

It's funny, I figured by now people had stopped caring about Kanon. I mean, it's old, and more importantly it's basically been spoiled in just about every possible fashion, thanks to early popularity. There's really not that much new.

Yeah, likewise. I mean, it just seems super unlikely to me that anyone wouldn't know what happens in Kanon if they were interested in visual novels to begin with. Go figure.
