Default I'm creating my own translation for ToHeart2

So I have a copy of ToHeart2 Xrated on my PC. And there are no translations or guides or anything. Therefore I have decided to translate it myself and release my creation to the world. I think I can do this, because I understand Japanese well enough that, with the help of Babelfish and Google Translation for difficult sections, I should be able to rewrite everything with exactitude.

So far I have managed to discover how to extract the in-game text using a combination of ExtractData on the sdt.pak file and editing the resulting file with Hex Workshop.

Now the problem: Does anyone know of a way I can re-insert the edited .SDT file back into the .pak file? Otherwise the best I can get is a script...

Yoroshiku,
-Runiko

Just as a friendly note, if you're relying on Babelfish/machine translation to help you with the hard passages, you're setting yourself up for disaster. I would recommend something like ALC (http://www.alc.co.jp/) for finding example translations of phrases and a good Japanese dictionary for figuring out the meaning of a word. For example, http://dic.yahoo.co.jp/ has some pretty good stuff.

You might have better luck if you work together with the pre-existing translation project.

Read about them here - http://forums.visualnews.net/showthread.php?t=12454
