Any possible "pick-up" for AIR translation?

What are the chances of another person picking up and finishing AIR? Who and what ever happened to the "indie" fellow?

As the anime has already been subbed and follows the story to a decent degree. it's pretty unlikely. Not to mention the fact that translating a huge game like air would take probably years to accomplish. even if someone were to pick it up... it would be a long time before the translation would see a public release.

If you want to be nit-picky, a direct translation would be:

"I'm not going to promise anything, but since I have already bought this game I've been thinking about doing it. If I end up liking it, have the time, finish translating Binary Pot, find someone to compile/edit it, and find someone strong with computers, etc; if I'm able to do all of that then translating Air is something I think I would want to do... so I just might do it."

AIR tv and movie was licenced by ADV

...does that mean game too will follow? :o ?!?!?!?

No. Key asked for a million US dollar from Hirameki for an officially endored English Translation of Kanon sometime back. This is just a pretext for them to say "We're not interested, sorry."

Much less can be said about AIR.

But now that AIR just fot licensed, well, I think somebody out there is willing to pick up the mantle for the fan translation.

As above, that's extremely unlikely.

I have my doubts about how well AIR tv will sell too, but hopefully they're nothing more than that.
