Default Some technical problems of Planetarian

I'm a Chinese this is my first post here.As I've visited the insani.org they seem to have that kineticdata.pak cracked.All the game files including seen.txt is inside it without crack/unpack that file it's impossible to translate the game.So How they did it?Can anyone tell me how? I need detail steps.(I know nothing about such things) Some chinese fans are going translate it but they have problem in unpacking that file.If they finish the translation I can retanslate it into English.But I need that kineticdata.pak unpacked for the first step
I also require the tool for editing Air's seen.txt
last I found a font for Planetarian you can run the game whitout change Regional settings
http://ckqqyy1.hp.infoseek.co.jp/jpfont.rar
Be sure the folder which you install the game must be in your own native font.Any japanese font mixed in will cause error in intialize(fill not found)

No - they're translating the demo, which does not have any DRM to crack.

I suspect this is not the case; in the other Planetarian thread I've posted a picture of the game showing the insertion of English text without any modifications to kineticdata.pak at all.

1. Run the game.
2. Attach to the KINETIC.EXE process with your favourite debugger.
3. Locate the decrypted files in memory.

Working out how to identify the decrypted files is left as an exercise for the reader. (Hint: the demo has no DRM.)

Does this mean that you're doing some other AIR translation project? I'm kinda short-handed at the moment ^^;

And a few questions for Haeleth: In what format must your text be in order for your compiler to work its magic? A space after ever spoken line? And what about putting in translation notes like the "?" or the clickable text? Hope it isn't too technical, cause I have zilch programming skills.....

I feel like doing the insertion myself instead of bothering others to do it now, so could you send the compiler/decompiler to me? Thanks! :)

I use WinDbg, which you can download from Microsoft here. Just attach to the Kinetic.exe process, .dump /ma its memory, and search for files in that with your favourite hex editor. If you can't do it yourself, you could try passing the information on to the Chinese group you say are having trouble with kineticdata.pak - they might be able to make use of it.
