I don't know whether to look forward to it or not... for one thing, rumour has it that Kano and Minagi are going to be cut out completely, apparently it's going to be Misuzu and serious all the way. That's not good news for Potato fans like me. ;)

Well, they cut a fair bit out of the non-Ayu stories in the Kanon anime, didn't they? Now think about what they'd have had to have done to make it a single film rather than a five-hour TV series...

On the bright side, at least I'll be able to afford this one when it comes out on DVD.

It'll probably run like the Mizuiro OAV (2, the non-adult one)... They picked a character and went all out on her while basically ignoring all the others and also changing the story a decent amount, unlike Kanon's OAV which, in my opinion, was fairly unscathed (though suffering from storyline pruning) judging from what I've read on the latter half. *coughrunonsentencecough*

Yeah, it takes place right before the last coupe of scenes in the 13th episode.
I thought it was nice, but too short, but then again I sit and watch the enitre freakin series on a regular basis.

I wonder if the movie will be direct to video or actually played in the theater?

My understanding is that it'll be a theatrical release, but I think that's still just a rumour, I haven't seen anything to suggest either option in official statements.

All I could make out was like "This fall, on the big screen, a new Summer will be born"
It would be funny if the movie was only "Summer" and not the other two chapters XD
