That last big block of text makes my eyes water. Pure hiragana is the worst thing in the world, seriously. Good thing it's just the same message again.

EDIT: Argh.. you get the idea, but I'm sick of this board mangling my kanji. WTF? Why does it do that?
Strange, the board is adding in spaces when displaying. It's also mangling 'da' into some strange concoction. What's the encoding on your browser set to and what browser are you using?
EDIT: Aha! http://www.manganews.net/forums/show...?t=3487&page=2
Let's try...
EDIT2: Okay, I got vBulletin to stop inserting spaces every 50 characters in long words, but some stuff is still broken.
EDIT3: Looks like the other issue is with strip_blank_ascii... I'll see if upgrading the forums to the latest version changes anything.

We've been blocked out of here too, if it hasn't already been mentioned...

You can break through it partially by using google cache.

I'm very glad that MG is getting a non-ero title, as I really dislike pornography, but on the other hand I'm sad that it was MG specifically that got Higurashi. I'd love to support a license such as this, but I want it tangible. I'm not paying for something I can't have. Unless this somehow gets released on CD with a nice box and/or cover, I'll stick to my Japanese copies thank you very much.

Even more off-topic, but I believe this is a misconception that bears correction: Ryuusoul was the main translator for Tsukihime, not TakaJun.

I dunno, "Minority Rapport - Die Unfassbare Anschueldigung" or whatever, but still carry the original name. I don't intend to generalize, but I would call it arrogance if an American assumed that everything that isn't English should be translated to it.

(getting hopelessly off-topic here, btw)
A couple of days late, but the French do exactly this (or at least the French-speaking Swiss). I distinctly recall last year's Batman film billed as Le Chevalier Noir, and this year's Ice Age film as L'Age de Glace 3.

^ Yeah, but the French in general have a very strong stance on retaining the purity of their language.

In the end, it's an individual thing. The original title: translated title seems to be the best compromise.

So I noticed all the Nitro+ stuff on TLWiki's been stripped bare. Did they send out a C&D letter, or is this a preemptive thing?

From recent changes, pretty much explains why it was removed

So is that a yes or no to the C&D order I wonder?

And I noticed this forum and TLWiki are usually down at the same time. Conspiracy?

They are on the same server. Probably hosted by the same person or something like that.

Am I the only one who finds this kind of pointless besides throwing decent amount of work down the drain?
I mean, those who are going to buy it, would buy it regardless of it being a Japanese version and a patch or it being a official US version.
And for those who are going to pirate, it's no different either.
It could have made sense if the licensing company would be completely new to the market. But considering how long JAST USA is around, they should have estimations about number of fans who are willing to pay. So it's not really different for them either.

P.S. Anyway it's not like I care about any of those games, so consider this as a rant.
