Default What are you playing

Eroge gamers are quiet. Too quiet. You folks honestly live incredibly solitary lives.

So talk. What VNs are you playing right now?

I haven't been reading any VNs recently. I'm playing Planescape: Torment and some good old adventure games, namely Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers and Callahan's Crosstime Saloon, while waiting for YU-NO and Cartagra translation patches to come out.

I've just started Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai.
I wanted to wait for all the chapters to be released before I started reading it, but now it's been so long I've forgotten all the question arcs. D'oh!
It's good though, can't wait to finally get some answers!

After this, Kikokugai.

Also, it's not a visual novel but I just finished reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest. It's easily in my top five books, I highly recommend it.

:o. How do you keep up with reading so many at a time?
I think I'd lost track of everything.

Why don't you play VNs one by one instead of playing tons of VNs in the same time?
Personally, I don't like reading a lot of VNs at a time. But, well, everyone has their own tastes...

I stopped reading “Subarashiki Hibi ~ Furenzoku Sonzai” for now, since I got a bit bored. Well, I'm sure that I've not reached the most interesting parts of the game yet, but I'm not truly interested in continuing it for now. I don't know why, but it hasn't the effect of gluing me to the screen to see what will happen next (and seeing things like two girls rubbing each other their "most important parts" -as Kagami calls them- to come is not the best thing I might imagine for an H-scene).

I don't have a lot of free time, but, when I can, I read “Tropical Kiss”. I've finished Hanabi's route and I'm at about half of Rikka's. I have to admit that it's surprisingly nice as a game. Before I started reading it, I thought it was merely a crappy eroge without a story, but it's far better than I could think. I like the images and the colors, and the reminescence scenes. Reading the plot, the game seems veryveryvery stupid, but it's deeper than one could think.

Those of us that follow scenario writers know Tropical Kiss' writer quite well. That's entirely why I'm playing it- the writer. I was so sad when he announced his retirement. Seems like most of the really good writers are walking out the door...

It's been a long while since I've played any VN at all, but I started playing Galaxy Angel a week or two ago and I was surprised how much I'm enjoying it. Mint specifically I found to be toe-curlingly adorable. I guess even with my decreased exposure I'm just as much a regular fanboy at heart as I was five years ago. >__>;;

Higurashi I definitely want to play some time. Maybe agi will ship me my copy of MG's discount CD sometime soon, but I half expect myself to wait for ShMion either way. I'll probably buy Umineko before they're finished.

Cross Channel and Giniro.

I feel like Giniro deserves a better reputation or at least a little more recognition, simply for the fact that it is so visually dynamic. I mean, the background seems to change basically with every line!
