That's not autotune, it's just a mild vocoder. I suppose it could have been done with autotune (not really familiar with cranked up autotune settings), but either way it's clearly an artistic decision on part of the composer, not an attempt to fix crappy singing. technovision, the insert song from S;G, is pretty similar, though the vocoder is even more prominent there.

tl;dr someone who makes itou kanako songs wants to be making italo house (again pretty obvious if you listen to technovision)

Pia Carrpt 2 update yesterday: "I'm happy to announce that the 1st draft script is complete! There is some undumped text so I'm going to say this is likely around 90% of the text, maybe more or less. However, it's everything I have and the bulk of the total script. From here I can begin the insertion and editing process while keeping any eye open for that undumped text." 1000 sales is the breakeven point without voices

At this point I'd rather they'd use whatever they'd pay for voice royalties towards aquiring Shin Koihime Musou.

I agree. But the limit for voices is 2000 anyway.

An announcement I never expected: XSeed will be localizing the PSP version of Corpse Party, a horror visual novel. (Read more about the original game here: http://vndb.org/v2632 ) The English version will released exclusively on the Playstation Store in fall 2011. Source: http://www.gamertell.com/technologyt...arty-psp-xseed

As the article says, this is one of several not-quite-mainstream games planned for release in English on PSP. Perhaps it's because the PSP's lifecycle is nearly over, especially in the west?

Some major news... Amaterasu has released full patches for Muvluv Alternative and Shikkoku no Sharnoth. The patch for the original Muvluv is also online again. Read more here to find out why: http://amaterasu.is.moelicious.be/blog/?p=962

Also, there's now a statement on the blog detailing their criteria for working with companies on potential localizations.

Apparently Mangagamer isn't happy:

Bamboo also commented:
https://twitter.com/#!/bamboo_milktu...59340223082497

TL: "On the matter of the overseas market, we were scolded for the delays by overseas fans. I'm sorry. But I wish they'd understand domestic market has the most priority."

Katahane was in talks too:

Rance Quest:
Translation Started - http://hgtp.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=69

Innocent Gray:
http://mangagamer.blackss.org/viewto...&t=1111#p12560
Kara No Shoujo hasn't made a profit from Mangagamer, however it is one of their better selling games. It hasn't surpassed Koihime or Shuffle though. However Innocent Gray are still interested in the west.

Also; new favorite game:

You can just tell its going to be epic (:

Some info on Mangagamer:

http://mangagamer.blackss.org/viewto...tart=20#p12685

They haven't sold out of the first print-run of any of their hard copies.

DC2 and Guilty have yet to make a profit.

Kira Kira overall has a made a profit if you put everything together (Adult version + All ages version + Iphone Version)

Shuffle has most likely reached the breakeven point too.

Kara No Shoujo has not made a profit, it needs to sell twice as many as it currently has to breakeven.

and as previously mentioned:
http://mangagamer.blackss.org/viewto...tart=50#p12319
Koihime needs another 30 sales to break even

JAST's upcoming catalogue was apparently leaked, it was uploaded to 4chan:

Here

lists a quick JAST summery of some games not on the website yet along with the prices for them. Also some hints at a future bundle pack and possible future licenses:

Quote:
Seinarukana
The spiritual successor to Aselia, an all new
game engine and fully adult romances will
light your fire in this plane-spanning RPG
epic. Spectacular visuals! $39.95

Quote:
Outlaw Django
Spaghetti western meets space colony
adventure! Control the fates of three buxom
desperados in their fights for love, sex, and
loot. Fantastic game by Nitroplus. $39.95

Quote:
Sumaga
You wake up with amnesia and a chance to
avenge your former life with the help of
three beautiful witches. The legendary
magical witch title from Nitroplus! $39.95

Quote:
Starless
Become the plaything of a lusty heiress and her
harem of maids in the latest tale of kinky sex
from the creator of Bible Black and Discipline.
An epic game, years in the making. $39.95
'Doushin Same Heart' and 'Tokimeki Check In!' are apparently going to be bundled together:

Quote:
Tokimeki / Doushin
The famous game of love in a
traditional Japanese inn comes
with Doushin free! $19.95
They have the cover for the Princess Waltz Visual Fanbook for some reason instead of the game cover.

Yukkuri is listed as 'Yukkuri Panic vol. 1: Escalation'...vol. 1? Possible hint for more in the series to be licensed? Theirs still 3 'Miwaku no Mahoujin' and 2 'Choukyou Diary' so possibility of vol. 2 and vol. 3 perhaps.

Pretty sure that's using Autotune or one of its clones. Straight up vanilla vocoding does not preserve as much of the original vocal signature as this song does.
