Star Ocean seems like a good example of a real time RPG... or Oblivion.

Shimokawa-san's decision usually surprises me, and usually not in a good way XD. He has probably the better (if not the best) cards (staff) in his hand, but he plays them in the strangest ways. I used to laugh about him in the old days.

But then it hit me: No matter what I think about him, it's not going to make a difference is it?

So now, I just like him as a music composer. A lot of BGM he made were my favourites. And to me, LEAF was about COMIC PARTY and Utawarerumono, and NO I don't like the "game" portion of Utawarerumono, but the VN portion of it was enough to make it one of my top 10.

About Utawarerumono.. it's really well liked on EGS as well, and the comments imply that it's almost entirely for the story, but I never really got the impression that the story was actually that awesome. I mean, the whole plot was great, but I felt it was a bit clumsily told, since most of it was essentially dumped on you in the latter part of the title. The pacing mostly felt awkward.

What I'm saying is that, while the story is decent, I don't see why people* like it more than Ayakashibito and CROSS CHANNEL. Did I somehow miss something?

*well, erogamescape, anyway =p

Well, in my case, I probably liked it from lack of experience. It was the first of the type I played. Since then, I have played a few more... like Tsukihime (hence my avatar) which is MUCH better.

Spoiler

It's not what the transition was as much as how it was done in the game/show. It felt like they were going one way with the storyline and then got bored with the setting and decided to change it for no reason. Maybe I should use "silly" rather than "confusing".

Basically, if felt like they put the twist in their for the sole purpose of having a twist rather than enhancing the story.

When I played through it, I found the transition actually kind of neat and not really that jarring. Maybe I'm just more used to things like that, having played and really enjoyed Crystalis (Godslayer in Japan) on the NES.

To me, the whole plot WASN'T great, and I felt it WAS a bit clumsily told.

But that's not the point, I still love the story and the characters XD

And it's so difficult to compare it to something like Cross Channel or Akayashibito. With Cross Channel I probably won't be able to compare it with anything. Akayashibito and something like FATE would probably be in the same group (still not quite right though). But what I am sure is that there are something I got from Utawarerumono which I couldn't get it from any other games. And I like it XD

Or maybe I should be honest with myself and admit it's because of those neko ears? XD just kidding

Sweet!
Character designs for the animated adaptation of Tears to Tiara:
http://d.hatena.ne.jp/moonphase/20081106

Riannon looks a bit too airheaded... I hope she's not borrowing from her seiyuu's typical roles <_<

Hrm... do I see Octavia bondage? <_<;
Limwris looks like... Kaede@ShuffleAnime
Shot of Llyr looks nice :3

And Arthur still looks like a girl :/

Regarding Leaf there is something regarding Tears to Tiara I would like to know.

They released the game in 2005 and then returned 3 years later and released a PS3 version of the game. And what I saw was that the gameplay of the PS3 has nothing in common with the PC ver.

I was stunned that they totally remade the game from a 2-D to a complete 3-D game. They used the power of a PS 3 and made it into a visually beautiful turn-based RPG game. This of course made the PC version of the game look like something out of a PS ^o^.

Does any1 know if there will be any adaptions of the PS 3 version of Tears to Tiara?
