Steins;Gate PC uses bytecode. Nagato's Nipa tool can extract the archives but you're not going to get anywhere with the script unless you're willing to figure out the bytecode.

But then again... I haven't tried it myself, but other people say that AGTH is capable of hooking all of the text in the game (including the mails and 2ch posts), so I don't know why you'd want to rip the scripts in the first place. Just use AGTH if you're going to rape the thing with a machine.

By the way, there's already quite a lot of machine translation in Steins;Gate! There's a large amount of English text (relevant to the plot) present in images, and every bit of it is machine translated, probably by Google. Thankfully, the characters "translate" it into Japanese for you, so it's not a big deal, but it's still pretty embarrassing on N+/5pb's end, imo. Oh well... it's funny seeing the errors that Google makes, at least.

Frankly a little too elitist in my opinion. Who are we? The guardians of what is the oh-so-sacred, the Visual Novel Mediumâ„¢ or something? If he gets enjoyment out of it then let the man do what he wants. There is no rule that says he needs to enjoy it just as much as you enjoyed it. My advice is to go learn more Japanese, then come back and play it again and you will get more out of it.

The art, bgms, bgs and the system build up a great atmosphere, I think. But to me, the scenario just seemed... normal (?). It sure wasn't bad. But nothing too special, either.

I've concluded I get more pleasure from getting the jist of the story than I do copy/pasting into my kanji converter. Guess I'll just play it through and cross my fingers for a real translation :(

i wasn't telling him, i was asking. 'please'. your first impression of a game will almost always be the lasting one, and while I can sort of understand using machine translation as a learning aid on other titles, not steins;gate. the number of titles of that kind of quality are so slim you'll be incredibly lucky to see anything equivalent in the next several years. the game won't go away, there's no need to play it right now

Well, for starters, most everyone I know has already spoiled Fate/Stay Night for me, so part of the whole matter was giving myself enough time to forget the spoilers.

Honestly though, I didn't feel like Fate/Zero spoils too much on its own. There are a lot of aspects that do link into Fate/Stay Night, but they're often ones you wouldn't think of until after they come up in Fate/Stay Night. There are a few minor details which are spoiled, but really there's only two things I can think of that Fate/Zero really spoils in terms of Fate/Stay Night's narrative. And both of them revolve around Rin and her family. If anything, I'm finding it interesting to read Fate/Stay afterwords because the little details dropped in Fate/Zero do make you think about and notice things you would have otherwise completely neglected or never picked up on the other way around.

I've just finished Hoshizora no Memoria, both the main game and the fan disc.
The main game "Wish upon a shooting star" is awesome, especially the final route (except some Aoi's and Asuho's route).
But the fan disc (Eternal Heart) is a disappointment :(
Every girl turns out to be too deredere and the after story is shallow :(

I'm currently playing Mashiro iro Symphony.
It's quite good but sometimes a bit lengthy.
I wonder when Palette can make game like Moshimo Ashita again... Sigh...

@fujifruit : I really like the artwork of Asuseka (also from etude and maybe the same illustrator), but the artwork of Confetti is just ... bad.
I can't understand why they changed such a marvelous art style :(

I've made some comparisons from the OP videos of the two games:

AGTH is almost compatible with windows 7, except some games with special H-Code. (Moshimo Ashita ga Hare naraba, for excample. I had to use VMware Workstation to play this game >_<)
